The PORi Center of Excellence in Oncology Rehabilitation (PORi COE) is the highest level of PORi Certification in cancer rehab, recognizing clinics, facilities, and health systems that provide exceptional care through streamlined processes, integrated services, and strong, cohesive teams.

The PORi COE accreditation process offers a comprehensive roadmap for organizing and managing oncology rehabilitation programs. It enhances operational efficiencies, boosts therapist productivity, improves patient outcomes, and helps retain top talent.
Bronze PORI Centers of Excellence adhere to pre-defined standards with a focus on education, licensing, and a commitment to the PORi system of patient management at the practitioner level.
Silver PORi Centers of Excellence meet the Bronze Standards as well as meeting additional standards to showcase effective collaboration among practitioners and office staff within a rehabilitation facility, to enhance patient management within the rehabilitation setting.
Gold PORi Centers of Excellence meet the Silver Standards and additional standards to exhibit hospital / health system cohesiveness, robust collaborative relationships with other providers within the cancer care team, including physicians, nurses, hospital administrators, and community support services.
The PORi Center of Excellence designation serves as a valuable tool for the following:
  • ​Internal Assessment and Improvement: Programs can use the designation to internally assess their performance and identify areas for improvement, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Scalability and Reproducibility: Programs with the designation can develop scalable and reproducible clinical pathways and models of care, facilitating expansion and dissemination of best practices to benefit a broader patient population
  • Promotion of Best Practices: By adhering to the standards set forth for the designation, providers ensure that they follow best practices in the delivery of services, resulting in consistent, high-quality care for patients.
  • Patient and Partner Trust: The designation instills trust in patients and partners, assuring them that patients will receive the highest level of care available, enhancing confidence in the program and its services.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Attaining the designation demonstrates a commitment to achieving and maintaining a higher standard of care, reflecting positively on the organization's dedication to patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Increase in Revenue / Patient Visit Volumes: PORi Centers of Excellence may experience up to a 75% increase in patient visit volume after becoming a GOLD PORi Center of Excellence.
  • Cancer Service Line Accreditation: Meeting PORi Center of Excellence Standards positions facilities to meet the rehabilitation component standards of other nationally recognized cancer credentialing agencies such as the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).​
